Asics blessed us early with the two colorways of their latest collaboration with london-based collective AFFIX works. If you´ve never heard of AFFIX you probably have heard about the likes of Kiko Kostadinov who is also a frequent collaborator with Asics and quite known for his odd colorways and minimalistic but impactful iterations to their signature silhouettes. You might also have heard of Stylist Stephen Mann, artist Taro Ray and Gimme Five founder Michael Kopelman who are also an integral part of the AFFIX collective.

We felt the need to send this pack to the track. So we put it on one of the fastest guys we know. But also test it in our more familiar field of play; the asphalt which was burning hot these days. See below some impressions from Ricky and Vince wearing and testing the new Novablasts.

With the Affix Novablast, Asics dropped two homogeneous colorways that fit effortlessly into the New Utility look. The pack is pairing bold and earthy color combinations while keeping a subtle cool vibe. The tech-packed one-piece upper construction sports a slightly angled engineered sandwich mesh with seamless welding details on eye-stay as well as the reflective heel cap. A lightly colored FlyteFoam mid sole with its’ distinctive and edgy heel construction breaks the soft lines of the upper and doesn’t fall short of offering superb cushioning regardless whether you are on the track or in more urban terrain.
